Laboratory testing, X-ray and ultrasound, all under this roof

Three of the tools that turn a guess into a diagnosis are on site at 100 Hall Professional Center: digital X-ray, abdominal ultrasound and echocardiography, and our own laboratory. Nothing here waits on an outside facility to open.

Chapter 01

Digital X-ray, results the same visit

Kyle Animal Hospital is equipped with digital X-ray technology, which provides fast and clear images of a pet's bones, chest and abdomen. A fracture, a swallowed object, an enlarged heart, a suspicious mass: an X-ray is often the fastest way to see it rather than guess at it from the outside.

Most results are available during the same visit. For a dog that came in limping or a cat that stopped eating, that means the conversation about what happens next can start before you leave the parking lot in Kyle, not after a callback the following day.

Ultrasound and echocardiograms without a referral

We provide abdominal ultrasounds and echocardiograms right here in our clinic. That is not a given at a general small-animal practice. Echocardiography in particular usually means a referral to a cardiology specialist, and specialist visits mean waiting, driving, and a pet who has to do it all again with strangers.

Doing it here allows us to assess organ health, detect abnormalities, and monitor cardiac function without needing to refer your pet to an outside facility. If your veterinarian in Kyle, Buda or San Marcos hears a new murmur on exam or feels something worth a closer look on your dog's abdomen, that closer look can happen the same day, in a room your pet has already been in.

Chapter 03

The in-house lab and why speed changes the treatment

Our in-house laboratory allows us to run bloodwork, urinalysis, parasite screenings, and other diagnostic tests quickly and accurately. Some of that turns around while you are still in the exam room; none of it depends on an outside courier picking up a sample and a result trickling back a day or two later.

Speed is not a convenience here. A dog with sudden lethargy, a cat with changes in thirst or appetite, a senior pet on a monitoring schedule: the value of a lab test is in how fast it lets us act on what it finds. For families driving in from Kyle, Wimberley or South Austin, same-visit answers are what let us start treatment instead of booking a second appointment just to talk about test results.
