Protection
Vaccinations
A vaccine plan built around your pet, not a chart taped to the wall. We tailor protection to age, exposure and lifestyle for every dog, cat and exotic we see.
Chapter 01
Not every pet needs the same protection
Some vaccines are considered core, meaning almost every dog or cat benefits from them regardless of how they live. Others are lifestyle vaccines, recommended for pets with real exposure to what they protect against, and skipped for pets that do not need them. A house cat in Kyle and a farm dog outside Wimberley are not the same risk, so they should not get the same plan.
We tailor vaccine plans to your pet's lifestyle and health needs for optimal protection rather than running everyone through one fixed schedule, and we walk you through why each one is or is not on your pet's list.

What actually shapes the plan
Age is the first factor. A puppy or kitten's plan looks different from an adult's, and a senior's plan gets reconsidered as their health changes. After that we look at real exposure: whether your pet goes to a boarding kennel or daycare in Buda or San Marcos, whether they travel with you, whether they are around other animals at a dog park or on a trail, and whether they spend time outdoors where wildlife is a factor.
None of that is guesswork. It is a conversation at the visit about how your dog or cat actually lives, and the plan follows from the answer.
Chapter 03
What to expect after the visit
Most pets do fine after a vaccine visit and go back to normal within a day. Our team will tell you what is typical for your specific pet and what would be worth a call, so you are not left guessing that evening.
We also run a low-cost community vaccine clinic to help make protection accessible beyond the regular appointment schedule. It is a genuine part of how this practice serves Kyle, Buda and the surrounding Central Texas communities. Call (512) 268-5003 for current details, or book a regular vaccine visit any weekday from 7 AM to 8 PM.
